She’s a people person
Carmel knows people. She can read a room. Her dry wit and ability to listen immediately puts people at ease. So when you work on a project with Carmel, it will start with a conversation. Together, you will identify the practical and emotional objectives of a project. This dialogue is the spark that will push your project forward. She cares deeply about helping you realize your vision, on time and on budget, while still delivering the BRC signature experience.
She knows what makes a transformative experience
Leading BRC’s Cultural Experiences has given Carmel exposure to a diverse range of projects. While each project is unique, one thing remains consistent. Telling a compelling story comes first. Carmel works with you to define the central theme you want to get across. Then she ensures that all parts of the experience are informed by that theme.
She’s a great leader
Once the theme is in place, Carmel puts her team to work to build the experience. One of Carmel’s gifts is her ability drive people to think creatively. She provides her team with limitless freedom during the ideation process. But at the same time she is always mindful of the timing of project deliverables and practical considerations.
Her projects “get the neurons firing
Carmel often works with clients with immense amounts of available content. But she knows that part of creating a memorable cultural experience is being selective. She will ask questions to ensure that the content supports the project’s theme. What is the story behind the physical object? How can the object be used to create a meaningful experience for a viewer? What will create a vivid and lasting memory?
She knows how to use (and “mash”) media
Carmel’s background in theatre informs her approach to BRC’s projects. She describes the cultural experiences she develops as “mashups.” They integrate elements of cinema, theatre and audio. Yet they allow your audience to participate on an intimate level.
Her projects get results
Carmel’s projects satisfy clients because they resonate with viewers. One of her favorite measures of success is seeing a sharp rise in book sales at gift shops. When viewers are hungry to learn more about a subject, she knows she’s created a meaningful experience.
She will be there every step of the way
Carmel loves what she does, she has a passion for working closely with Clients to keep their priorities in the fore front of the project. She wants to deeply understand the challenges facing the client both before opening and after to make sure the client achieves success with their project. Camel often returns to past project to enjoy them as a patron.
