He loves museums
He always has. When he was a kid his parents took him to museums and he reveled in them, loved to explore and learn. It never occurred to him then that it is someone’s job to create that experience. Even after an extensive education in experiential design, Sameer maintains that same sense of childlike wonder when creating experiences for BRC.
He’s a born builder
Sameer’s two years at an architecture firm helped him develop design skills firmly rooted in real-world execution. His experience working as Fabrication Manager on key projects such as the Abraham Lincoln Museum gives him an understanding of the logistics involved in executing a large scale project. As a result, Sameer understands how to take BRC’s imaginative concepts and bring them to life on time and on budget.
He finds solutions by collaborating
One of Sameer’s strengths is working collaboratively. When you work with Sameer on a project, you’ll find he’s able to ask the questions that get to the heart of what you’re trying to achieve. You’ll find solutions together. In turn, he has the skills to take broad concepts and disseminate them into specific guidance for designers. This helps ensure that the product reflects your goals. Sameer is a client advocate.
He plans ahead – but knows how to improvise
BRC’s intensive charette process helps to clearly define a product from the start. This helps to provide a consistency in approach so that all stages of the production process are driven by a central theme. In a recent project, original plans had to be scaled back; Sameer and his team went back to the theme statement to find a new approach. They were able to come up with a solution that leveraged animation and existing site elements in striking and original ways. The show was a spectacular success and had a transformative impact on audiences.
He’s passionate about the product
Sameer knows that the vision of a product is important and execution is about getting the details right. He works closely with all members of the team, from designers to audio/visual experts to ensure the product works seamlessly. He likens himself to a “switch master,” making sure all the parts of the product are working well together. You’ll like the results he gets.
