The Ford Rouge Factory is the home of what architect and “green” visionary William McDonough described as the “next Industrial Revolution— a new paradigm of productivity, based on the processes of nature.” Here, BRC created and produced a world-class visitor experience highlighting the people, products and processes behind Ford Motor Company’s commitment to a sustainable future for industrial manufacturing.
The experience begins at the Henry Ford Museum, where visitors embark on a Bus Tour to the Ford Rouge Dearborn Truck Plant. A state-of-the-art visitor center (Gold LEED Building) at the factory offers two multiscreen theaters, numerous touchscreen interpretive displays and an 80-foot-high observation deck overlooking the world’s largest “Green” roof atop the factory. Visitors then get to walk through part of the assembly plant and explore the environmentally friendly 21st-century automotive production techniques employed by the Ford Motor Company.
